COTTONWOOD VISITOR CENTER AT JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
Interior and exterior exhibits for the newly developed Cottonwood Visitor Center, created to accommodate the park’s growing number of visitors. Interior experiences introduce guests to desert life, the night sky, and the nearby Cottonwood Spring Oasis. Features include a visitor service desk, retail space with integrated interpretive panels, a burrow system discovery element, and an immersive oasis experience. Outdoor exhibits include a discovery area with wheelchair-accessible tactile animal sculptures integrated into rockwork, life-sized desert animal sculptures, outdoor interpretive panels, an amphitheater with decorative cut-metal back panels, and a looped trail featuring sculptures of large prehistoric animals.
